All options for labels are directly applied on the label inside the document, as well as the new label.

Characteristics:

  • Label size: Define the visible row/column of a label

  • Authorize overlap: if checked, labels size is always the same. Else i f there are too many labels on the screen, the size is automatically reduced in order to avoid label overlap.

Background mode

  • No background

  • Specific color

  • According to the tolerance (green if inside tolerance or red if outside tolerance)

Appearance

  • Background color: color of the label background

  • Transparency: to be able to view under the label

Texts options :

  • Font color: to set the color of the font, the frame, and the point.

  • Number of decimals: to set the number of digits after the comma in all labels, in classic notation. See warning below for explanation

  • Engineering notation: if enabled, values like 0.00001 are replaced by 1e-05 and 10000 by 1e+05.

Engineering notation and decimals

In engineering notation, all numbers are considered as decimals. A specific rule is applied to the digit '0' at the end: the '0' of the truncated number are removed.

This means that the number 10240.123456 will be:
