This command allows you to stitch several meshes together: overlapping areas between two meshes will be identified according to the tolerance distance and the meshes will be connected with a clean mesh in the overlapping areas.

Select the mesh(es) you want to stitch and launch the command.

  • The first selected objet will be the main mesh.

  • Next ones will update the main mesh.

  1. Set the Tolerance distance: where the distance between the two meshes is smaller than the tolerance value, the two meshes will be merged.

  2. Select options to use:

    1. Adjust overlapping area allows you to modify slightly the position of the vertices on the overlapping areas. If unchecked, the vertices of the first selected mesh will be used. This option usually gives smoother results.

    2. Take triangle orientation into account improves the computation speed. Use this option only if all your meshes are well-oriented.

    3. Smooth sewing area smooths the junction lines between meshes.

    4. Reorganize the sewing area reorganizes the triangles according to the local curvature. This option usually gives smoother results.

  3. Press Preview to see the result, OK to validate or Cancel to exit.
