Clipping Manager

This command is used to create, edit or delete clipping objects in CloudWorx.

Requirements

No selection is required to launch the command.

  1. Clipping groups

    1. Create Group creates a sub-folder of Clipping group in the tree.

    2. Delete Group removes the sub-folder group (clipping objects included) in the tree.

    3. Activate Group disables clippings in other groups. Note that you can restore the previous status.

  2. Clippings in active group

    1. Delete Clipping removes the highlighted clipping object.

    2. Clear Clippings removes all clipping objects from the active group.

    3. Enable All switches on all clipping objects in the active group (see note below).

    4. Disable All switches off all clipping objects in the active group.

  3. In the list, you can:

    1. Enable or disable clipping objects.

    2. Invert limit planes.

    3. Set the thickness of limit slices.

Notes

  1. Groups

    1. A CloudWorx Group is a sub-folder of Clipping Group.

    2. All clippings out of a sub-folder are automatically gathered into a group named Cyclone 3DR.

  2. Slices: Thickness & Depth

    1. Modifying the thickness will move both limit planes.

    2. Modifying the depth (Construct/Edit) will move the first limit plane.

  3. There is a maximum of clipping objects activated at the same time. For example: 1 limit box + 1 limit slice, 4 limit slices, 4 limit planes, 3 limit planes + one limit slice...

Technical information

CloudWorx project, created from Autocad, may store clipping fences. Fences are not 3DR objects so they don't appear in 3DR tree view. Nevertheless, they can be activated. You have to open the clipping manager in order to manage it.
