Free Move
This command displays a "Manipulator" in order to move / rotate / scale your selection manually and efficiently with the mouse.
Requirements
Select the object(s) you want to move and launch the command.
When you enter the command, each color corresponds to an axis of the active coordinate system: Red for the X direction, Green for the Y direction and Blue for the Z direction.
Grey ball:
optionally, click the grey ball (or press C) to define accurately the manipulator origin. For more information, refer to Define points.
move in 2D your selection by dragging and dropping it.
Red, green and blue axes:
optionally, click one of them to reorient the manipulator. For more information, refer to Define normal direction.
translate your selection along an axis by dragging and dropping the corresponding axis.
or hover the tool and press TAB to enter a numeric value and its unit (refer to Units).
Red, green and blue planes: translate your selection along them by dragging and dropping the corresponding plane.
Red, green and blue arcs:
rotate your selection around the axis with identical color by dragging and dropping the corresponding arc.

White double-sided arrows:
scale globally your selection by dragging and dropping any double-sided arrow.
or hover the tool and press TAB to enter a numeric value.
Notes
Complete modifications of geometrical features can be performed using their Edit command (available in Extract menu, contextual menu or double click). In this case:
some rotations are disabled.
the scaling is not global but linked to the feature properties.
the tool is locked on the feature's center.
the axes of the tool are locked on the feature's direction.
You have the possibility to Undo / Redo the movements.
You can modify the size of the tool with CTRL + Mouse wheel
