Surface Levelness
This command allows you to analyze the levelness of a mesh or a point cloud.
Requirements
Select the mesh(es) or the cloud(s) and launch the command. Or launch this command without selection, to analyze planar parts of a cloud or a mesh.
Without selection:
Give a seed point to extract a planar part that you want to analyze.
Adjust the extraction Tolerance.
Click Validate to confirm the selection.
With Selection (or after step 1c):
Set the Direction for the analysis.
Add an Offset value manually or automatically: the offset is added to the results (inspection values and deviation diagram).
Optionally, if a mesh has been selected, check Compute gridded inspection to compute a grid of inspected points in addition to the inspected mesh. Note the points are 3D and only their inspection values are affected by the Offset value.
Define the Horizontal axis of the grid (must be perpendicular to the analysis direction).
Define a point to Pass through.
Define the Horizontal step of the grid (ie along the Horizontal axis).
Define the Vertical step.
Optionally, after the preview, export the points directly to CAD:
Set the texts height in model space.
Export to DXF or Send To.
Notes
The export will use the currently active coordinate system.
Tips & Tricks
You can use Measure Deviation in the quick measure toolbar to add labels to the analysis.
