This command allows you to import data from a LGS file.

Requirements

No selection is required to launch the command.

  1. Give the password, if any.

  2. You can import the file to have a Cloudworx cloud and limit objects. CloudWorx clouds are added in the folder CloudWorx Group and can be converted later (see Convert Project for more information about the data conversion).

    1. Select the Coordinate System which will become the project WCS.

    2. Choose the unit in Unit options group (see Technical information).

  3. Or you can import data and convert them to have a standard cloud and images.

    1. It is possible to choose to extract the cloud, the images or both, using the checkboxes.

    2. Set Maximum number of points parameter. A selection of most representative points will be done in the CloudWorx cloud according to this limit.

    3. Images options can differ depending on the source file:

      1. For LGS file published by Pegasus Office, you can set a Minimum step to import spherical images every x meters along the trajectories.

      2. For other product, the option Spherical images allows to convert the cubic images into spherical ones (if the project contains cubic images).

Notes

  • CloudWorx clouds always are read-only data. That is why the tree icon is a small red cloud images/download/attachments/173278168/CwCloud.svg . If you have just imported the data with the Import option, you probably have to extract the data later with Convert Project or From CloudWorx in order to use it.

  • Objects are always imported in the WCS of the document. In other words, coordinates in the coordinate system chosen at import, are identical to coordinates when the WCS is activated.

Technical information

With a LGS File in meters, if you choose millimeters as Unit options, it means you are importing data in millimeters in your project. Thus, the data will be automatically scaled to match your project (1000 factor).
