Image Navigation Toolbar

This toolbar enables you to navigate between scan locations and to display the corresponding images.

Requirements

The document must contain interactive positions.

Such positions can be defined by point clouds (setup position) or images (camera positions).

The toolbar appears at the scene top right and is composed of two parts:

  • The Scan Location tool

  • The Image Navigation tools

Scan Location tool

This tool allows to show and navigate through positions in the document.

Double-click on red spheres to move to the corresponding position.
Once on a position, if an image is associated with the position, it will be displayed when you move to that position.

Tips & Tricks

A keyboard shortcut is also available to perform the same action: SHIFT + S.

Image Navigation tools

The tools appear when the camera is positioned at a camera position of an image.

  1. You can display the image either in the foreground or in the scene background.

    • Background mode: you can use ALT+MOUSE WHEEL to change the point size.

    • Foreground mode: you can adjust the image transparency. Additionally, the visibility and image opacity can be adjusted.

    • In both modes, you can also create a synchronized view to make comparisons or extract features easily.

  2. In case of several images available, you can select the image to display within a list.
The camera will move again to take exactly the image point of view.

  3. It is also possible to jump to another position:

    • By double-clicking another position.

    • By using Previous/Next if the position is related to a trajectory.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use CTRL+MOUSE WHEEL to move forward or backward along a trajectory.

  • To exit the image navigation mode, change the camera mode and navigate elsewhere (refer to Navigation and selection toolbar).

Technical information

When a scan location is very close to another one, only one will be displayed and become the access point for all their images.
