This command creates or edits notes either to make a report or export a BCF. A note documents an identified defect (as-built vs model), it may contain: inspection labels, 3D views, photos from the camera device, description...

Requirements

Select:

  • an inspected mesh or BIM and launch the command to create a new Notes folder.

  • an existing Notes folder and launch the command to edit it or click the corresponding Play button in the treeview.

Notes folders can also be created thanks to BIM Inspect.

  1. Click the pin button to add a note on the inspected object. Each note is automatically named thanks to the clicked object name.

  2. When a note is added, it can be edited directly.

    • The edition mode can be stopped by pressing ESC or clicking on an empty space in the list.

    • Select a note, either through the scene or the list, to restart its edition.

    • You can remove a note and its content thanks to the red cross icon.

  3. Optionally, add contents to describe the issue:

    • Change the Title of the note.

    • Add an assignee.

    • Add a Description.

    • Change its Priority.

    • Add/delete deviation Labels.

    • Define additional Scene views to add to the report. Click Views Gallery to visualize the recorded scene views. You can remove or update them.

    • Load Images from your disk or Add Images with the webcams. Once an image has been added, you can open Images Gallery to visualize the recorded images. You can remove or update them.

  4. Optionally, if the inspected object comes from a BIM, it is possible to copy metadata of the component.

  5. The notes can be exported to a BCF file. All information will also be used to generate a report: refer to Report Editor.

Notes

If a BIM object can be associated to the inspection, the BIM component field will be completed automatically.
