Sharp Edges

This command reconstructs sharp edges on a mesh using polylines. The mesh is locally modified and stretched to pass through the polylines. It can replace rounded edges, fillets or chamfers.

Note

This command is designed to replace rounded edges, fillets or chamfers. Before entering inside this command, you must prepare your polylines representing the sharp edges. Several methods are available for this:

  • You can make some geometric constructions. For example, if you have 2 flat walls you can extract the two planes on each side with Region Grow Plane. Then you will calculate the intersection with Intersection to obtain the exact edge represented by a straight line.

  • If you have some portions of edges, you can use the command Cut Polyline, Join 2 Polylines and Stretch polyline to design your edges.

Select the mesh to treat and at least one polyline and launch the command
